ABSTRACT: The formulation of this study is due to the researchers concern and interest to examine the lives of elder women from two very different setting, namely in home cares and in residential areas. The goal of this study is to examine elder women's current attitude, outlook, lifestyle and willingness to accept new responsibilities and if environmental differences affect the promotion of their good, proper and healthy ageing. The descriptive approach, reinforced with an in-depth interview and direct observation, was employed as a means of collecting data. The participants were selected using convenient and purposive sampling and the interview was recorded with an informed consent. The results gave way to five (5) distinguished domains namely: 1) Outlook in Life, (2) Self-Awareness, (3) Interpersonal Relationships, (4) Priorities, (5) Self-fulfillment. The research also revealed that both elderlies from home cares and residential areas are capable of being active and involved in different relationships, responsibilities and aspirations, although their priorities and other goals do vary.
