ABSTRACT: This study aimed to examine the factors affecting electric power consumption of households in Imus City, Cavite. Data was gathered by surveying 75 households through a large effect size purposive method. (Cohen, 1992). The research findings showed that the present level of electric power consumption in households in Imus City, Cavite is high. The respondents are already observing energy saving practices but majority of the particpants have not bought any products with low consumption, do not regulate their appliance use and do not monitor their electric power consumption. The study revealed that the dependent variable has a positive correlation to six explored independent variables. It has been found out that the lot area of the residence is the most contributory factors that affects electric power consumption in Imus City, Cavite. In addition to these, the researchers considered two unexplored variables - (1) proximity of household to electric posts with transformer, and (2) proximity of household to high electric consuming firm - which showed statistical significance and positive correlation with the electric power consumption.
