ABSTRACT: In modern society being a parent is not only focusing in one woman and one man. As the society enter modernization the sexual orientation of individual is not need in order to be a good parent. This study aimed to determined the preparedness and readiness of Filipino crossdresser gays to nurture a child at Metro Manila through qualitative research design, where in 20 respondents where interviewed and asked about self-constructed questionnaire regards to their views and perception in being a parent. The result revealed that: (a) Most nof the Filipino gays are willing to raise a child in order to someone will look and care for them as they grow old. (b) Most of the Filipino gay views the parenting as a Difficult responsibility and will help them for personal growth (c) Most of the Filipino gay will explain the non-traditional set up of family to the child as its young. (d) Most of the Filipino gay will tend to be passive person as they will enter a parenting and parental role. These findings suggest that most of the Filipino crossdresser gays are willing to center parental roles but afraid in another new society judgement and discrimination. To address the findings, different programs was proposed in order to lessen the stigma in Filipino gay.
