ABSTRACT: This research study aimed to determine if there is a significant relationship between the print environment and emergent love for reading of pre school pupils of five selected public elementary schools in Manila. A total number of seventy (70) preschool pupils from the five schools participated in the study. Researcher-made instruments were used such as checklists and interview guide and schedule in gathering the data essential to the study. The instruments underwent validation by five (5) experts who provided comments and suggestions. The results of the tabulated data showed that print environment was averagely available and emergent love for reading was of high extent. Furthermore, print environment inside the classroom is not associated with emergent love for reading of the preschool pupils.
