ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study is to obtain the perceived and functions of occupational health nurses in the Philippines and create a conceptual model for the practice. The study also determined factors that might affect such roles and functions. A sequential-mixed type design was utilized during the study. The findings indicated that Coordinator, Health Educator and Clinician roles are mostly perceived by nurses. Details related to perceived functions were also obtained. Both roles and functions are then grouped to the respondents profile to determine differences across the respondents. Fasctors in the working environment and personal/professional factors are identified to affect the roles and functions of the nurses in the workplace, The results of the study are collected and presented in a kodel that hopes to describe the Philippine occupational health nursing practice.
