ABSTRACT: This research study entitled The Lived Experienced of Filipino Green Barley Users was conducted to explore and describe the lived experience of the Filipino Green Barley users and to understand the meaning of these experiences using phenomenological themes and patterns. The descriptive phenomenology of Husserl and the methodological interpretations of Colaizzi supported this study and made use of an in-depth interview to produce data about the participant's personal experiences. A grand tour question was asked considering the participants care and participants safety and environment. By means of the purposive sampling, the data, the data were obtained from 5 participants who passed the criteria and are consuming Green Barley product. The interviews were transcribed verbatim, analyzed and described using descriptive phenomenological methodology. Eight sub-themes emerged from the participants experiences which were further combined into four master themes that showed the experiences of the Filipino Green barley users which created the the basis of the findings reported, Participants described the arrival of the supplement on their lives by their conditions and received recommendations. It was shown that using a complimentary and/or alternative medicine was openly accepted by the participants. the users also described how much they consume this health product and if they had other medications and/or therapies that using. Participants were found to feel relieved by their sufferings and described how it alleviated their discomforts. To continue or not in using the product were also recognized. The findings of this study have provided information into the experience of Filipino Green Barley users. It is hoped that the findings of this study will contribute to the care of Filipinos who are using complementary and/or alternative medicines (CAMs), natural health products (NHPs) and herbals; nurses or any health professionals who are using these for themselves, their families and clients; and for the future researchers that will conduct a study on barley product, CAMs, NHPs and herbals.
