ABSTRACT:This study aims to determine the effectiveness of improvised patellar brace in improving jumping ability among basketball players 10-21 years old, without history and existing knee pathologies. Jumping ability of the participants was measured through the use of segeant jump test. Improvised patellar brace, which is made up of prowrap material, was applied to both knees of particpants. Pretest and posttest measurements were taken and compared. Results showed significant increase in jumping ability of the participants. This study proved that the application of improvised patellar brace increases the jumping ability of subjects without knee pathology.
