ABSTRACT: Basketball is one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide. However, this also comprises increase in susceptibility of risk of suffering an injury, especially with recreational players who do not go through particular conditioning for basketball. The study aims to evaluate the relationship between factors associated with agility of recreational basketball players with history of ankle sprain and will use a quantitative correlational research design with the subjects purposively selected from basketball club associations in Brgy. 61 Tondo, Manila. Demographic questionnaire was used to evaluate person factors, VAS for environmental factors and the lane agility test; Pearson and Spearman was used to correlate these factors. The results showed that there are no significant relationships between the Lane Agility Drill scores and the four criteria presented (p>0.05). In conclusion there is no relationship between the Lane Agility Drill scores with frequency of playing time, number of ankle sprains and BMI. However, there is a low relationship between Lane Agility scores with VAS.
