Over the past decade, herbal medicine has been used to treat different kinds of diseases and has led to the production of different kinds of drugs using plant-derived products and extracts. This study aims to evaluate the cytotoxic effect of the ethanolic leaf extracts of the Philippine Ashitaba plant, Gynura procumbens, on human colon cancer cell line (HCT116)cultures employing three trials of the MTT assay.
