ABSTRACT: Cockfighting has become a part of the Philippine culture. However, two aspects were preserved; the entertainment and the gambling aspect that most Filipino men are engaged in. Its popularity does not only attract adult males, who are the target market for sabong. Even children are being hooked in this kind of activity. The study about mga batang sabungero exposed factors and reasons why children are getting involved in cockfighting which is a form of gambling activity. Knowing that the welfare of the children involved is being compromised, the researchers tapped the topic to create awareness to the general public about their existence. The video production entitled “Si Totoy sa Mundo ng Sabong” will determine who are responsible in keeping the minors from entering a sabungan. Likewise, it will serve as a constant reminder for everyone, that a cockpit house is not an appropriate place for children.
