ABSTRACT Philippines is a diverse society wherein its inhabitants, who are called Filipinos, are naturally jovial and are very fond of laughing and enjoyment. But there is a fact that Filipinos are the hardest to please type of audience. Despite that fact, there are noontime variety shows which cater to the Filipino audience in order to give joy, hope, and entertainment. One of which is Eat Bulaga, which has set a record of being the longest running noontime variety show. The researchers did an assessment and analysis to the content of the said noontime variety show focusing on the two essential elements which are the talents and the segments. The researchers focused on a specific timeline which is from January of 2008 - December of 2009. Given the parameters, the researchers have done extensive and intensive ways of gathering necessary information resulting to sufficient data which supported the study. The study presented Eat Bulaga through a deep evaluation of the program's elements which are the segments and the talents; complete and full list of the segments from January of 2008 - December of 2009; conceptualization of the segments; conveyance of the researched segments to the audience; description of the segments; complete and full list of the talents from January of 2008 - December of 2009; character profiles of the talents; roles played of the talents. A non-participatory observation of the program, interview schedules and questionnaires among the program implementers, media experts, avid fans, as interview scheduled with different experts were used by the researchers in conducting this study. This content analysis study of the noontime variety show Eat Bulaga had shown the program's flow for January 2008 - December 2009. It has revealed why certain programs are conceptualized and how it has been conveyed to the audience. It had also shown how the talents opt to be versatile in order to get along with the variety of the program.
