An Analysis of the quality of problems posed by students in trigonometry. 6 6 - - - - - - - - . - . - 0 . - . - 0 .

ABSTRACT : This paper shows how problem posing was used as atool for instruction in college trigonometry. it reveals the quality of the problems posed by 109 college students using a formula based coding system. The study shows that the category in which the task is set, and the complexity of the math concepts relative to posed problem, play an important part in the student's ability to pose problems. moreover, a majority of the solvable problems posed by the students were simple or lacking in complexity in operations and concepts.
