ABSTRACT : This article presents 10 ways to improve instructor effectiveness: 1. Use active Learning. 2. Use technology in the classroom. 3. Implement quizzes often and use cumulative testing. 4. Avoid hurried lectures to get through everything. 5. review the previous lecture and lab in each class. 6. Use part of lab time to discuss the latest research. 7. Directly involve as many students in each lab session as possible. 8. Temper the need to teach everything in the text. 9. Provide analogies. 10. tell stories and be funny (if possible).
