ABSTRACT : This article proposes digitization partnerships in Texas and Wisconsin as models for other states trying to preserve newspaper archives. The Texas Digital Newspaper Program is the hub of newspaper digitization and preservation in Texas. In Wisconsin all residents can access every issue of more than 200 Wisconsin newspapers published since 2005.
