Formatted contents note ABSTRACT: This research study aimed to determine the level of depression, the level of academic performance of the students and the significant relationship between and the academic performance of the 3rd year college students. This study used the Beck Depression Inventory and a self-reportorial questionnaire to gather data from the 91 3rd year college students as respondents. This research used descriptive correlational designs which looked for the relationship between the two variables used in this study. The findings on depression showed average level of depression among the respondents and falls on mild mood disturbance level (11-16). The findings on the academic performance showed that most of the students have very good remarks. For the correlation of depression and academic performance the three p-values that were obtained are greater than the level of significance; the decision null hypothesis is accepted. The study concludes that majority of the students were having a mild mood disturbance but not as serious as extreme depression and is not recommended for immediate treatment. It can be implied that the students can properly manage and cope with activities related to depression. For future researchers who will use this study as a guide, it is recommended to explore on more variables that can affect the academic performance especially in Filipino college students.<br/>
