Formatted contents note ABSTRACT: The Philippine’s expanding construction market contributes to the country’s overall economic growth due to the industry’s in residential construction. Project managers oversee initiatives to ensure project success which is achieved when the project meets its technical performance objectives and goals. For a project to be successful, the organization, project team, and users must all be highly satisfied with the project’s outcome, thus the project manager needs to have an effective leadership style. Therefore, this study aims to identify the leadership style in construction project management in terms of project success criteria such as quality, time, and cost that will result in the overall project success of structural works on mid-rise residential construction projects. In order to obtain this, researchers analyzed the leadership styles in the construction industry through the application of Meta-Analysis, Pareto Analysis, and Analytical Hierarchy Process. Based on the results, there are 21 leadership styles used in the construction industry after conducting meta-analysis. Performing Pareto Analysis, the researchers established five critical leadership styles (CLSs). The ranking of the CLSs were determined using a validated questionnaire answered by experts containing the nine-point scale of the Analytical Hierarchy Process. Experts prioritized Transformational Leadership in terms of quality while Autocratic Leadership appeared to be the most preferred leadership style in terms of time and cost. Furthermore, the study determined the overall ranking and identified that Transformational Leadership is the leadership style in in construction project management that will result in overall project success of structural works on mid-rise residential construction projects.
