ABSTRACT: Domestic animals in today’s fast-paced society frequently experience long periods of neglect and isolation as a result of their owners demanding careers. With many pet owners working long hours, the necessity of ensuring that their pets have access to food, clean water, and proper supervision is frequently overlooked, leading to potentially harmful consequences. These unattended animals may suffer from dehydration, stress, anxiety, or even infections, all of which can significantly impact their physical and psychological health. This increasing concern has spurred academics to look into innovative approaches that address these difficulties while also embracing modern technology to improve the lives of both pets and their owners. While the challenges posed by modernity are undeniable, they also present opportunities for creative problem-solving. The Smart Cage is intended to incorporate innovative technology into a simple, user-friendly solution that gives pet owners peace of mind while protecting their pets well-being. The newly developed system has an integrated watering monitoring mechanism and employs advanced components such as the ESP-WROOM-32 and ESP-CAM as the core microcontroller, Wi-Fi module, and camera. These components combine to form a unified Internet of Things (IoT)-based system that enables owners to remotely monitor and control their pets basic requirements with a few taps on the Blynk IoT mobile application or website. The integration of IoT technology into pet care through the Smart Cage represents a significant step forward more responsible and responsive pet ownership. By automating essential functions such as feeding, hydration, and environmental monitoring, this system not only ensures the well-being of domestic animals but also offers owners a practical solution to the challenges of modern life. As society continues to evolve and technology advances, innovations like the Smart Cage pave the way for a future where pets receive the care they deserve. |
