Formatted contents note Abstract: Motel is a type of accommodation that is widely used in the hospitality industry in the Philippines. However, motels have a bad reputation, which has led the researchers to study the reasons for these impressions and how they can affect the motel industry and its interaction with the public. This study aims to explore the positive and negative perceptions associated with selected motels in Sta, Manila, Philippines. The researchers assume that the study will provide insights and recommendations to help motel operators improve both their image and the overall guest experiences. The findings of the study highlight the significance of a comprehensive strategy for addressing the Positive and Negative Perceptions of Motels in Manila. The study will be beneficial for future researchers who want to explore how regional and cultural differences affect the public's perceptions towards motels, through developing strategies and suggestions. Based on the results gathered from the questionnaires, the researchers recommend that, to full understand the role of motels and its distinction from other types of accommodation, the university-specifically the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) should promote student engagement programs that focus on varios types of accommodation.
