505 ## - FORMATTED CONTENTS NOTE
Formatted contents note The eating habits of students significantly impact their overall health and academic performance. It is also influenced by what they buy and eat inside the university. If there are mostly buy. The study aimed to assess the eating patterns and preferences of students to design a health intervention program in the university canteen.

A quantitative method approach was used in this study. Data were gathered through surveys conducted among students of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, aged 17-24, to understand their food choices and factors that influence their choices.

The results revealed the unhealthy eating habits of the respondents, highly consuming fried and processed food, high consumption of junk food and snacks, and inadequate intake of fruits and vegetables. These choices were influenced by factors such as the convenience of available unhealthy foods and the limited accessibility of nutritious meals within the canteen.

The researchers suggest the use of the Pinggang Pinoy meal plan in the canteen because, through this, there is a proper portion of carbohydrates, protein, and vegetables, and a balanced meal can be achieved.
