Formatted contents note Transitioning to professional life, working students struggle to balance both their work and academic responsibilities. This study aims to provide insight into the effects of part-time employment on the academic performance of fourth-year College of Tourism and Hospitality Management working students. Several aspects, such as financial stress, time management, and workload, play a key factor for these studies to focus on the negative effects of part-time employment in fourth-year CTHM students. This research will be conducted at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.

A quantitative research methodology was conducted to examine the financial and academic stress level, demographic factors, and weekly work hours to analyze their correlation with their GPA. One hundred four (104) respondents from the PLM fourth-year CTHM students were selected and invited to be part of the study. The response rate was one hundred percent.

Findings from the data reveal that the academic and financial stress encountered by the working students has affected their overall academic performance; balancing both part-time employment and academic responsibilities at the same time initiates challenges in managing time, inconsistent academic engagement, and increased stress. The researchers recommended implementing support systems for the working students to have flexible schedules and programs that provide financial help, leading to the overall enhancement of the success of working students.
