This study examined the impact of travel vlogs on the staycation decisions of students from the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. Utilizing a quantitative research design, data were collected from 267 respondents selected through stratified random sampling using a self-made questionnaire. The findings revealed that travel vlogs significantly influence students' staycation choices through honest reviews, personal experiences, high-quality visuals, and compelling storytelling. These factors were found to shape students' preferences by providing detailed insights into economical and accessible staycation options, enhancing their decision-making process. The study underscores the importance of authenticity, transparency, and high-quality content in travel vlogs, emphasizing their role in promoting domestic tourism and influencing young consumers' travel behaviors. Recommendations include encouraging travel vloggers to maintain credibility and visual appeal while highlighting staycation features that align with students' preferences and budgets. This research contributes to understanding the evolving dynamics of digital media in shaping tourism and hospitality trends. |
