ABSTRACT: An image is an image made up of many other images. In this paper the researchers investigated the automatic generation of such image mosaics, using content-based image retrieval as the underlying framework. Their first contribution is to describe and evaluate a few parameters that control the quality of the image mosaic. Their second contribution is the proposal of a semi-automatic measure to assess the quality of the resulting images. The researchers describe a suitable for creating n image mosaic-a collection of thumbnails as small images arranged in such a way when they are seen together with the right vision-using the Content Based Image Retrieval. To visually suggest the right image with the right matched thumbnails used which are arranged and replaced on the specific tile in a picture or image as much as possible, and then their colors are not adjusted to better suggest to overall generated image. Arrangement of the small images may be by brightness or by RGB. Adjustment of the colors in each thumbnail in order to see similarity of the image to be generated is not recommended since we are using the CBIR system. And also, with the use of this system, it is possible also to lessen the time in processing the image mosaic. After their analysis, the proponents should have presented a clear methodology for mosaic generation, i.e.; given an image one can build a mosaic image visually similar to the original one but built only with other images. They must discuss and evaluate some parameters that would affect a mosaic's processing time as well as quality.
