In general, child abandonment in hospitals is a serious problem of the society that needs to be given attention. In the documentary done, there are still a lot of people who undergo under-the-table adoption or illegal placement of abandoned children in hospitals though there are laws provided by the government. In this regard, the researchers suggest that the government and other authorities concerned such as DSWD and hospital administrations should be strict in implementing laws that will be beneficial for the protection of abandoned children. The government, non-government and other private sectors should be optimistic in their objectives to safeguard the rights of the abandoned children. This will answer the needs of the children, particularly those who have been neglected by their parents. A stronger advocacy campaign to create on various children-related concerns should be conducted and launched that will cater to the abandoned children on their basic rights and more comprehensive efforts should be undertaken to protect then. The government and other authorities concerned should work towards the prevention and treatment of abandoned children in the country. The social support system in the country needs to have social services and professional social workers in place to identify families at risk and offer them timely and effective support.. It is also essential to ensure that young people be given life-skills education, including information on the prevention of unwanted pregnancies. Parenting sessions and counseling programs should also be conducted to learn the basic concepts on alternate forms of parenting and foster caring for children and orientation on abandoned children's rights. Moreover, there should also be other measures that should be made and done to almost completely prevent child abandonment not only in hospitals but also in other places. Other editions:
