ABSTRACT: The Internet makes available a comprehensive and diverse array of information; it seemingly - almost literally - lays the world at the users fingertips. The vast, fast resources of the Internet are within the users grasp, and responsive precisely and personally to their specific needs in real-time. From the analysis of the data gathered (through descriptive method) 76% of the respondents resort to internet rather than libraries as a primary site of their information searches. College students seemed generally positive about the internet and its impact on their educational experience. The convenience of the internet is likely tempting students to rely very heavily on it when searching for academic resources. Internet is already a form of learning, as it has a uniquely multifaceted capacity to enable students to learn in the way they all like best. Thus, the students dependence on the Internet plays an important role in their academic performance. Whereas, the students internet dependence paved way to the enhancement of their English language skills that can be very beneficial for their performance on the subjects they are studying. The researchers recommend this study for further improvement on the population used. This study focused only on the effects of the students internet dependence on their academic performance. Thus, the researchers suggest that the future researchers to conduct studies regarding the effects of students. 56
