ABSTRACT: Coping means to invest own conscious, to solve personal and interpersonal problems, in order to try to master, minimize or tolerate stress and conflict. The effectiveness of the coping effort depends on the type of stress, the individual, and the circumstances. Self-efficacy is an individual’s belief in his or her innate ability to achieve goals. Self-efficacy affects every area of human endeavor. By determining the beliefs a person holds regarding his or her power to affect situations, it strongly influences both the power a person actually has to face challenges competently and the choices a person is most likely to make. The purpose of this study is to know the relationship between coping and self-efficacy of Filipino Young Adults who grew up in a single-parenting household. The research is a quantitative type in which the researcher used scales and instruments to measure the significance of coping and self-efficacy of the respondents. The data needed was gathered with the use of Brief COPE Inventory and General Self-Efficacy Scale. The results obtained by the researcher shown that there is no significant relationship between coping and self-efficacy.
