ABSTRACT: Gratitude and religion are one of the most prominent values that parents each to their child. This study tries to find out the relationship between the demographic profile of the respondents and their level of gratitude in terms of the three pillars of gratitude which are the Simple Appreciation, Lack of Sense of Deprivation, and Appreciation of Simple Pleasure. The demographic profile includes the age, occupation, educational attainment, and religious involvement. The respondents are the regular church goer and the people who are part of the church organization of Sts. Peter and John Parish in Malabon. The total number of respondents is 115. In order to know the pillars of gratitude and measure the level of gratitude the Gratitude, Resentment, Appreciation Test (GRAT-Short form) was used. Chi-square test for independence was use in order to find the relationship between the demographic profile and the level of gratitude. The result shows that the mean of Simple Appreciation, Lack of Sense of Deprivation, and the Appreciation of Simple appreciation are all low. The age, occupation, and the educational attainment of the respondents do not have a relationship with their gratitude however their religious involvement has a significant relationship with their gratitude.
