Action note: In: Summary: ABSTRACT: Female individuals put so much concern and emphasis on the way they look and how they will appear to other people that opinion of others is of great importance. In turn, this effects their confidence and how they perceive themselves. This study aimed to examine the association between body image and self-esteem of PLM female senior high school students assessed through a correlational research design, wherein the 246 respondents were asked to complete a Body Shape Questionnaire and Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale. The results revealed that: (a) The level of body image concern of PLM female senior high school students is 41.07 which falls on the mild concern category, (b) The level of self-esteem of PLM female senior high school students is 26.24 which falls on the average self-esteem category, (c) The increase of the levels of the body image concerns led to the decrease of the levels of the Self-esteem. These findings indicate that body image dissatisfaction is associated with the level of self -esteem of PLM female senior high school students. To address the findings, a proposed personality development program was constructed. Other editions:
