ABSTRACT: There are a lot of graduates of Tourism and Travel Industry Management coming from different colleges and universities in the Philippines. The researcher aims to identify the level of competitiveness of the Bachelor of Science in Travel and Tourism management (BSTTM) graduates of PLM in skills based industry. The conceptual framework serves as a guide in conducting the research. The level of competitiveness of PLM BSTTM graduates in skills based industry is the focus of the research which is the dependent variables. The profile of the graduates in terms of academic achievements, trainings and seminars, skills development, and existing facilities are the factors that somehow may be related to the dependent variables. Survey questionnaire was used to gather data and were interpreted. The research concluded the hypothesis that there is no significant differences between background of the graduates and level of competitiveness of BSTTM graduates in skills based industry and it is accepted. the employers are hiring employees not based on their skills ability but rather based on their personal and mental skills that the PLM BSTTM graduates evidently possess. The data shoes that even though PLM is lacking facilities for tourism students, they are still competitive enough in skills based industry. the research recommends to encourage the university administrators to support the students and add facilities for tourism students that will be very useful in their stay during their college years in PLM.
