ABSTRACT: This study was conducted to assess the relationship of Sugar production, Sugar Production, Domestic Sugar Consumption and Real Effective Exchange Rate to quantity of Sugar Exports of the Philippines. In gathering the data needed, secondary technique was used as the data utilized in the study were obtained from other institutions like the Philippine Institute for Development Studies and Sugar Regulatory Administration. As for the statistical treatment of the data, the researchers used Multiple Regression Analysis and EViews. The result showed that all the demand and supply factors considered in the study have a significant relationship to sugar exports. This was also supported by the fact that the percentage that the dependent variable was explained by the independent variables in the model was 86%. Among the factors considered in the study, the Domestic Sugar Consumption has the most significant effect to sugar exports of the Philippines while sugar production has the least effect among the three variables. Stability of the model was also proven and supported by various test. Thus, this study would be useful and valid for policy making purposes.
