EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Business Description In this feasibility study, the researchers aim to start a business venture that uses jackfruit seeds as the new primary ingredient in chocolate bars. The name of the firm is Jack O' Laté which is from the combination of the word jackfruit and chocolate. Jack O' Laté is a local business located in the City of Manila and is operating because the management wants to discover a substitute ingredient in making chocolates other than cocoa. In the Philippines, cocoa is gradually lacking, and nobody can see the benefits and usage of jackfruit seeds. The people who will benefit from the feasibility study and the business venture are the consumers of chocolates, the Jackfruit farmers, and sellers. It started when Brazilian researchers discovered that jackfruit seed has similarities with cocoa; the result was published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. In this case, the business partners can come up with the idea of creating a business venture that would focus on utilizing jackfruit seeds specifically in making chocolates. Before Jackfruit seed was underutilized and considered waste, the Jack O' Laté partnership decided to make this chocolate bar using jackfruit seeds as the primary ingredient in making this product. In addition, the seeds have vital nutrients that our bodies need. The demand for chocolate is gradually rising due to the continuously growing population, which is why this product will undoubtedly fulfill the demand for consumers.
