Abstract With the Internet's significant involvement in our lives, marketers of brands have discovered innovative ways to connect with the customers, and this is through online advertising. As advertising attracts new users, promotes continued use, and builds brand loyalty, the promotion and advertising of e-cigarettes have intensified, especially over social and digital media. Their tactics and strategies are innovative, youthful, and utilized by social media influencers that youth look up to and follow. In the Philippines, Filipinos are becoming increasingly accustomed to using e-cigarettes, particularly the younger generation. 14.1% of Filipino youth are currently using e-cigarettes, according to the 2019 Philippine Global Youth Tobacco Survey. With this, the objective of the study is to determine whether e-cigarette manipulative online advertisements have a significant impact to its users among college Students in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. Particularly, if the consumption of e-cigarettes by college students in PLM is associated with these manipulative online advertisements. The study gathered and collected data from one fifty (150) students in PLM, who are e-cigarette users, through an online survey. The statistical techniques used to evaluate and interpret the data include frequency and percentage distribution, weighted mean, and ANOVA. Then, findings revealed that online advertisements of e-cigarettes somewhat influenced most of the respondents. Specifically, online advertisements from Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Overall, the majority of the respondents agreed that the manipulative online advertisements of e-cigarettes are believable, piqued their interest in using e-cigarette, and essentially, influenced them to purchase and use e-cigarette. Therefore, the manipulative online advertisements of e-cigarettes are linked to the consumption of e-cigarette among PLM students' e-cigarette users. The researchers recommend the study's findings to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to ensure that e-cigarette advertisements on the Internet are strictly investigated, so this could not trigger netizens, especially youth, to use e-cigarette. To PLM administrators, to conduct seminars and programs to bring awareness among students, and lastly, to Youth.
