Abstract The study examined the relationship between demographic characteristics, financial challenges, and financial competence among family households in Paco, Manila. A quantitative methodology was employed to gather data from a sample of 354 participants using surveys. The purpose was to examine the influence of various factors such as age, sex, occupation, monthly income, number of family members on both financial challenges and financial competence. The main objective was to analyze the relationship of financial challenges and financial competence to implement strategies. The findings supported and questioned established theories by highlighting the significance of attitudes and perceptions in the process of making financial decisions. The study's significance lies in its concentration on family households in Paco, Manila, offering valuable insights into the precise financial challenges encountered by this demographic. To enhance financial knowledge among family households, targeted strategies can be implemented. The study's importance was based on its potential to inform policymakers, educators, and community stakeholders about the need for specific interventions aimed at promoting financial inclusion and resilience within family households. Ultimately, these efforts can contribute to societal well-being and economic growth.
