Action note: In: Summary: ABSTRACT: Word clouds are a visual representation of a text data. It is a pool of words with various sizes consisting of the tokens consisting the group of words entered. The size of a word is according to how frequent the word is being mentioned in the selection inputted Word cloud algorithm is the algorithm used in formulating visual word clouds. This algorithm works by dividing the inputted selection into several unique tokens. After dividing the input, the tokens will be sorted according to number of occurrences in descending order. Then, the tokens will be placed randomly and will have a font size that is proportional to the number of its occurrences. Wordle is one of the most widely used web application that uses word cloud algorithm in order to generate word clouds. Wordle was developed by Jonathan Feinberg in 2009. It is an amazingly easy to use web 2.0 website, which allows anyone to generate really creative word clouds by providing text. Words that are used more frequently, or specified as important, are made larger and stand out. The word clouds can then be customized with a variety of font styles, colors and layouts. The study's main objective is to be able to develop a desktop application showing the enhanced Word Cloud Algorithm that will produce an exact and accutae output according to the inputted words of the user. Specifically, the objectives of the proponents are: (1) to be able to provide a word cloud that is readable if a lot of words are inputted and conversely, a word cloud that do not scatter the words if the user inputted few words; (2) to be able to emphasize a word that user wants to emphasize in the word cloud regardless of its occurrence and existence in the test and to able to make words with special formats striking in the visualization; and (3) to be able to treat same words with different capitalizations, as one token.
