ABSTRACT: The study aims to deepen the insights about the single middle-aged women, to gain knowledge about their current situations, factors attributing to their single status and the aspirations they are looking forward. The participants for this study are single women who are 40-65 years old, never married and never had any children. The target location for of the participants is in the Taguig City. The research is a qualified study that a used a purposive and snowballing sampling with 15 respondents. The study shows that despite of the streotyping or negative perceptions about the single women in the society, most of the participants see themselves enjoying their current situations despite of being single. The researcher concludes that family plays a vital role in the lives of the single middle-aged women in the study, as most of their responses in the given problems involve their attachements and close relationships toward their extended families.
