Abstract: The study aimed to assess the employment status of the Bachelor of Science in Education graduates major in Biology, Chemistry and Physics of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynilaunder the College of Human Development from School Year 2004-2006. This study determined the percentage of graduates who took and passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET); the percentage of graduates employed, underemployed and unemployed;the problems and difficulties they encountered in applying for a job;their evaluation of the adequacy of the subjects given by the institution; and their suggestions in improving the curriculum. The researchers used a descriptive method with a survey questionnaire as an instrument to obtain the necessary information needed to complete the result of the study. It was conducted from August to September 2006 through interviews. This study used the percentage formula to determine the percentage of the graduates who took and passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and the percentage of the graduates employed in teachinf, underemployed and unemployed. The Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA) was utilized to establish the significant difference between the curriculum of the Teacher Education Program of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila to the employment status of its graduates in terms of the General Education, Professional Subjects, and Subject Teaching. Lastly, the rank correlation of the problems met by the graduates in applying for a job and the suggestions given by the graduates in improving the Teacher Education program was established with the aid of the Spearman Rho Correlation. The result of the data gathered from the questionnaire revealed that more than half (56.67%) of the graduates of PLM were licensed educators and therefore qualified for a teaching job. Also, it revealed that the graduated took the LET not long after they graduated. Also, most of the graduates are employed in the field related to their course study. Although many are private tutors and trailing behind were graduated who were underemployed and few graduates are still unemployed. The computed data divulged that the graduates perceived that the Teacher Education Program in PLM, in terms of subject offering in General Education, Professional Subjects and Student Teaching was adequate in preparing the graduates to become teachers. There was no significant relationship between the problems and difficulties encountered by the graduates in applying for a job with their respective batches. And there was no significant relationhip between the suggestions provided by the graduated in improving the curriculum of Teacher Education Program in PLM with their batches. The suggestions acquired do not significantly vary with batch.
