Statistics was used in the study to present and analyze the data needed to answer the questions provided and to prove or disprove the assumption provided. Statistics was used in the study to present and analyze the data. FINDINGS Based on the data gathered, the following findings were obtained: 1. Majority on the junior students of San Roque National High School have high awareness on the topics about Human Reproduction, Pregnancy and Childbirth, Birth Control, Contraception and Family Planning, and finally Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs). This can be attributed to the knowledge they have acquired in their family, peer group, media and school. 2. Media has the highest influenced followed by the peer group, school, and the least is the family. This can be attributed to the lack of time of the parents, in contrast to their task in monitoring their children's activities. This reveals that if the adolescent does not get the proper guidance, they would turn to more popular models like the mass media and to their peers. 3. Majority of the students have high awareness on the specific topics listed in the study. This reveals the sex education may not be included as a subject for the secondary curriculum because the students already have high awareness with regards to the topics listed. The existing program or subject should be retained. 4. a. The implication of sex education awareness to the student's attitude is that they became more liberal, more outspoken and more open to the discussion about sex. c. The exposure of the respondents to multiple sources of information about sex education opens their minds on sex. This can either influence them to have sex or refrain from sex. CONCLUSION Based on the results of the study, the researchers therefore conclude that: 1. The students of San Roque National High School have high awareness on the sex education. 2. Likewise, the media has the highest influence on the sex education awareness of the students, followed by the peer group, the school and family. 3. The topics about Human Reproduction, Pregnancy and Childbirth, Birth Control, Contraception and Family Planning, Acquired Immune-Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) need not be included in the sex education subject in the secondary curriculum. 4. The awareness of the students with regards to sex education would affect their attitude and behaviour. RECOMMENDATIONS Based on the conclusions of the study, the following are hereby recommended: 1.
