Action note: In: Summary: ABSTRACT This study aims to explore the Community Relations programs of selected companies in high-risk industries namely CBK Power Company Ltd., Holcim Philippines Inc. and Globe Telecommunications, as a tool in generating acceptance among the communities of the mentioned companies as perceived by the community stakeholders. Specifically, the study tackles the acceptance of the stakeholders in the community and the participation of the company through its Corporate Social Responsibility. The study is a perception analysis which utilized the descriptive method of research where in-depth interviews, key-informant interviews, matrixes, and materials from libraries and internet were used to gather data. The researchers used the purposive sampling technique in selecting the sampling unit and respondents for the study. Key-informant interviews were conducted in the neighboring communities of the high-risk establishments, while in-depth interviews were conducted with the community relations program implementer of the companies in high-risk industries. The researchers plotted the results from the key-informant interviews using matrices and the gathered data were analyzed using the McNamara Six Points Factor and it was found out that: 1. Companies in high-risk industries use some of the host communities' local resources like water supply and minerals. 2. Companies in high-risk industries prioritize the residents of the host communities when it comes to job employment. 3. The operations of high-risk establishments such as power plants, cement production sites and cell sites have an adverse effect on the environment of the host community, but the residents still consider the measures being taken by the company in dealing with the problem. 4. Companies in high-risk industries, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, participate in the community through health, educational, livelihood, and environmental programs. Other editions:
