ABSTRACT: This study attempted to assess the promotional strategies of Philippine Football Federation in popularizing the sport among the residents of Metro Manila. A total residents were randomly chosen as the respondents of the study. The researchers used the descriptive method of research using interview schedules and survey questionnaire in order to acquire the needed data. Based on the statistical results, majority of the residents of Metro Manila have high level of awareness about the sport and its presence in the country. Furthermore, respondents, respondents have an average awareness about the Philippine Football Federation and its promotional strategies in popularizing the sport. Also, majority of the respondents think that the reason behind the popularity of the sport was the Azkals and most of the respondents were aware of the promotional strategies of Philippine Football Federation. According to the key informants of PPF, they use press release and the new media as their tool in connecting to the public. Moreover, their strategy is to promote. Azkals-the Philippine Football Men's Team because they consider them as the main brand of the federation. They said that they are taking advantage of the popularity of the team because the sponsors look after them. According to the federation, it is their strategy to invite media to their programs and events so that it will be properly covered and brought to the public. Finally, there are recommendations that were proposed to the federation, for them to further develop their promotional strategies and to sustain the popularity of the said sport.
