ABSTRACT: This study was designed to extract essential oil from eucalyptus leaves. The extracted oil was characterized by Gas Chromatography. Its antimicrobial property was determined against Lactobacillus acidophilus, a known dental cary. The extracted oil was then added to a formulation of toothpaste. The formulated toothpaste was then assessed to whether it could be comparable to commercial toothpaste using a sensory panel. The sensory panel was made to answer a standard questionnaire after the use of the formulated eucalyptus toothpaste.
