Action note: In: Summary: ABSTRACT: This study is on the species diversity of macrobenthic algae and seagrasses of Bugsayon Coast Masbate. Species diversity of the five stations at the intertidal flat of Bugayson Coast, Masbate was assessed in situ using transect and quadrat method. These specimens were collected through handpicking and preserved inside a resalable bag and vial containing 10% formalin. After washing off the excess formalin from the specimens, these were mounted on bristol boards, pressed between two wooden pressers, and dried for four days in an oven with a temperature 0f 50 C. Temperature and substrate were noted during ther collection period. The statistical analysis was performed thorough the PAST diversity indices. A total of five species of seagrasses and 16 species and two genera of macrobenthic algae were identified. Five species of seagrasses were identified belonging to two families namely Hydrocharitaceae and Ctymododceaceae while the algae belong to divisions Chlorophyta, Rhodophyta and Phaeophyta. Eleven species of macrobenthic algae were classified under the seven genera of Chlorophyta, three species to three genera of Rhodophyta and two species of Phaeophyta in four genera. Other editions:
