This study used the experimental type of research to establish the cause-effect relationship between the buffer effect of powdered Asian Brown Mussel (Perna viridis) on the growth rate of onion (Allium cepa) in terms of shoot length. A randomized multi-group with a pre-test and a post-test research design was applied, wherein three experimental variables were measured. The experiment was conducted at the researcher's evidence in Tondo, Manila. The researchers constructed a laboratory set-up using ten plant boxes that contained loam soil. Onions (Allium cepa) were used as the research specimen, which were planted in different soil set-ups treated with different quantities (500g, 750g, and 1000g) of powdered Asian Brown Mussel (Perna viridis) shells. One week was allotted for the experimentation. The growth rate of onion (Allium cepa) in terms of shoot length, soil pH, and soil nitrogen level were the parameters that were observed by obtaining the initial and final measurements. The variance between the data that were gathered from the experiment was verified using the Analysis of Variance and the t-Test. Other editions:
