ABTRACT: Biological activities of Glyine max seed extract were observed in fertilixed three-day-old chick embryos using the chorio-allantoic membrane vascular assay (CAM-VA), Anti-angiogenic activity of the seed extract on the proliferative blood vessels response of the CAM was observed after seven days incubation. Remarks on its possible teratogenic activity were also cited. Seeds were homogenized concentrated and subjected to rotary evaporator. Extracts were dossolved in deionized water. The extract were then administered in varying concentrations to the test embryos by blind space injection technique. After a week of incubation at 37 C and 68% humidity, the eggs were opened and examined for the morphological characters of blood vessels. Based on the results obtained, soybean extracts exhibited an anti-angiogenic activity at higher concentration. The 100% concentrations exhibited the highest degree of blood vessel inhibition. The increasing trend in the effects of other concentrates in the inhibition of blood vessels, which follows the order: 30%, 50%, and 75% was also observed.
