Action note: In: Summary: ABSTRACT: The paper focused on the identification and determination of the prevalence of gastro intestinal parasites on children ages 2-5 yrs old in Barangay 154. It also featured about the independence of the incidence of parasite to different risk factors. Fecal kits and Correlation sheets were given to the guardian, Stool samples were collected by batch. Analysis was done using three fecal analysis techniques: Kato katz Modified Thick Smear, Formalin Ether Concentration Technique (FECT) and Harada Mori Culture Technique. Out of 93 samples, 54 were found infected recording a 58.06% prevalence. Species found were Ascaris lumbricoides 37.63% Trichuris trichuria 5.38% Mixed infection of both with 15.05 %, Brgy. 154 have have almost the same prevalence which are 56.82 % and 57.14% respectively. Walking barefooted was found to be the only risk factor in the incidence of parasite in Brgy 239. There was no risk factor to be affecting the incidence of parasite in Brgy 154. There was no significant difference on the incidence of parasite between the two barangays. Other editions:
