Action note: In: Summary: ABSTRACT: A study was conducted to find out the effects of soil-applied and foliar Atrazine and Metribuzin on the growth and nodulation of mungbean (Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilchzek var. Radiata). The experiment was laid in the field. Mungbean seeds were inoculated before planting. Atrazine and Metribuzine were applied in two forms, soil-applied and foliar. Observations were done every two weeks. The parameters used were the height of the plants, number and weight of root nodules, number and length of pods and length of roots. Data obtained were analyzed quantitately to determine if the effects are significantly different. Height, number, and weight of the root nodule were adversely affected. Number and length of pods and length of roots were not significantly affected. Soil-application of herbicides, the active ingredient Atrazine prepared as soil-applied appeared to have significantly affected the height and nodulation of the plants. Other editions:
