Since an efficient road system serves as an essential instrument to support our economic development, an inward examination of the problems affecting road maintenance should be enumerated and given in-depth consideration. The researcher hereby presents the different components that contribute to roads deterioration and affect road maintenance. Each aspect presented is given due evaluation and consideration. As a result, conclusions and recommendations are drawn which in hope will be of assistance specifically to the people directly behind the maintenance of public roads in view of a better road ways.
