Action note: In: Summary: ABSTRACT: The researcher aims to investigate on the health seeking behavior of 86 TB patients in Belmonte Health Center. The respondents health seeking behavior was measured by in terms of demographic profile, health seeking behavior and level of effectiveness of community based DOTS programs in terms of confidentially of treatment and information dissemination. Finding thew extent of relationship between the demographic profile of the respondents and their health seeking behavior as well as the relationship between the perception of respondents in the effectiveness of DOTS program and their health seeking behavior was also objective of this study. The study will use the descriptive non-experimental normative type of research with the self constructed questionnaire as the chief instrument in gathering data. It will be supplemented by unstructured formal interview and observations. The process of descriptive research goes beyond mere gathering and tabulating of data. The idea behind this type of research was to study frequencies, averages, and other statistical calculations. Although this research was highly accurate, it does not gather the causes behind a situation. The statistical treatment used for the statement of the problem number one was the frequency and percentage distribution, for number two and three the weighted arithmetic mean was used, and for four and five the researchers utilized the chi-square test. Chi-square test was used to investigate whether distributions of categorical variables differ from one another. Findings showed that at 0.05 level of significance computed chi square test between demographic profile of the respondents and their health seeking behavior as well as the relationship Other editions:
