Body mechanics is the utilization of correct muscles to complete a task safely and efficiently, without undue strain on any muscle or joint, It involves how parts of the body function to coordinate & maintain equilibrium, and promote good posture & healthy muscles. This descriptive study was conducted to determine the level of awareness on proper body mechanics among maintenance personnel of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila . All PLM maintenance personnel were chosen. A structured questionnaire was used to interview during their free time. Descriptive statistics were used to determine the level of awareness on pushing, pulling, lifting, standing sitting, reaching, walking and sleeping. Findings showed that majority of the respondents belong to the age range of 34-38, female gender, height range of 5'15'5, weight range of 44-53kg, spending 8 hours of work. Respondents possessed high level of awareness on proper body mechanics. Other editions:
