This study aimed to examine the effects of stress factors to the academic performance of BSPT third year students by gender, age, class standing and their association with general weighted average (GWA). The participants were the thirty-four (34) BSPT students (SY 2011-2012) studying at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM). A validated Perceived Stress Scale questionnaire surveyed stress data during the first semester SY 2011-2012. Along with this test the students were asked to complete a demographic data sheet that included items such as age, gender, and class standing. Students GWAs were obtained from the College Dean. The results showed a significant difference (r=0.531) between the perceived stress of PLM-BSPT third year students and their General Weighted Average (GWA). As a conclusion, the study showed that there was a strong correlation (p=0.351) between the perceived stress of PLM-BSPT third year students and their General Weighted Average (GWA). Other editions:
