This descriptive study sought to examine these issues with 18-65 years old male and female constituents of Barangay 657 as participants, their depth of awareness on PT profession and its services was assessed using a researcher-made 2-part questionnaire composed mainly of questions answerable by yeas or no and open ended questions to gather their personal understanding of the respondents on the issues being investigated. This study revealed that the depth of awareness and familiarity of the respondents on the issues being investigated. This study revealed that the depth of awareness and familiarity of the participants about the PT profession were shallow and limited to the misconceptions that physical therapy is synonymous to the Filipino tradition of local treatment known as hilot and the local manghihilot are the counterpart of the PT professionals. Adequate awareness programs for the public, through information transfers, can be beneficial in helping them to further understand the profession as to increase their awareness. Other editions:
