Specifically, the researchers sought to answer to the following problems: 1. What are the diseases that commonly causes physical disabilities in pediatric patients? 2. What age group and sex are at risk of acquiring the disabling disease? 3. What are the effects of the disabling disease to the patient and his family as well as the management of the disability? The study was delineated to the limitation of pediatric patient referred for physical therapy treatment at Philippine Orthopedic Center. The patient involves both male and female, impatient and outpatient and the age range from 1 - 14 years old patients. It is limited to the patients family and physicians in the hospital. The survey was conducted in a span of 3 months and the record of patient used was for the year 1999. The total number of respondents are 490 children. The data gathering instrument used was sampling and survey method. The researchers applied the statistical analysis of proportion and getting the highest frequency of the population. Other editions:
